Reality is fluid, ever-shifting, and shaped by perception—just like the Reality Stone itself.
Mindscapes of Reality embodies this concept through its layered textures and contrasts, revealing something different from every angle. Inspired by the Marvel Universe, this piece serves as a visual metaphor for how reality isn’t fixed but rather bends, transforms, and adapts depending on the observer.
In life, what we see is rarely the full picture. Our experiences, emotions, and beliefs act as filters, shaping our understanding of the world around us. The Reality Stone in the Marvel Universe grants its wielder the power to alter existence, creating illusions or bending truth to their will. This artwork echoes that essence—inviting the viewer to challenge their perceptions, to question what is real and what is merely an illusion.
With every brushstroke and sculpted layer, Mindscapes of Reality captures this dynamic process. The textured surface shifts under different lighting, emphasizing the idea that truth is not absolute but rather influenced by perspective. A touch of red runs through the composition, symbolizing both power and instability—two forces that define our relationship with reality.
This piece is more than just an artwork; it’s a reflection of how we navigate life. It’s about embracing the unknown, challenging the narratives we’ve been given, and understanding that reality is, in many ways, ours to shape.
May this artwork serve as a reminder that reality is ever-changing, shaped by perception and perspective. Just like the Reality Stone, it reveals something new with every glance—challenging you to look beyond the surface and embrace the infinite possibilities around you.
This piece took approximately 16 hours of active work, excluding the essential drying time between layers. With four layers requiring 48 hours each to fully set, the total process spanned over 200 hours—a testament to the patience and dedication poured into every detail.
Artwork can be commissioned in other canvas sizes.
